When I started recording oldscool I went into the studio with a different mindset. This time I wanted a full-blown Metal album that would represent the sound I grew up with and made me the musician I am today. That's why I called it OldSchool, as in My Old School. No synth's or anything industrial related, except "Enjoy the Silence" which is a bonus track.
Of course, I was going to work on a few instrumental pieces here and there. But this time I wanted to focus on the electric guitar. Nothing acoustic or classical. Aggressive playing with powerful lyrics and vocals. Backed up by a production that was going to be traditional and straight forward.

OldSchool took a long time to get done. A lot of stuff happened along the way that prevented me from finishing it. On top of that doing everything on your own takes time and effort. A lot more than when you have a team of people spreading the load. But I do like the freedom of working alone. Everything goes my way. Also no one rushed me to finish it.
Is not like I didn't try to get musicians either. For both m.A.d and OldSchool I tried so hard. I think I went thru every musician in my area. There was nobody able to play at that level. All... more
